TRADITIONS

   Embroideries

Embroidering, the loving expression of the skill and imagination of Turkish women, appears in a host of applications ranging from garments and furnishings to military gear. Using an embroidery frame or tambour, embroideries were worked in silk, gold, and silver thread not only on fabrics such as linen, cotton, wool, and silk but also on leather.
