TRADITIONS

   Kutahya Tiles And Ceramics

Under the Ottomans, the pottery-making industry of Kütahya played a secondary role alter that of Iznik, However owing to the plentiful sources of clay in the vicinity of the town, Kütahya has always been an important center of the ceramics industry and was so even during Phrygian, Ionian, Roman, and Byzantine times.
